Greys K4ST+ Combo

Just getting into fly fishing so purchased the GREYS K4ST+ COMBO, really happy with it, super fast shipping from Serious fishing too. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It's decent kit , however you can't get a spare spool for the reel, so this should be taken into consideration before buying, they don't tell you this!!

I have been fly angling and fly dressing for some 54 years.

I love the Greys line; I have I think 18 Greys and Hardy rods at the moment. What I wanted was a rig with a case, reel, and line to keep in my car in case I want to stop off for some fishing in my travels. The rod, reel, and line and all of good quality for such a purpose. It comes with a leader too but I replaced that straight off. On the butt end, it has double locking nuts and a nice cork grip (I got the 9' 6# which came with reverse half wells; my grip does not appear to have a lot of filler in it but it does not have that rubber/cork mix on either end of the grip - did not matter to me at all).

The rod has a single stripping guide which is just chromed inside; the intermediate guides are double foot guides that look to be black anodised. It casts fine by me and throws a nice tight loop for the price and the range I could get was fine for my local waters.

The case is nice as well, it has the bump for the reel so you can port it around without keeping a reel stored separately and you don't have to seat the reel for a quick bit of action. The rod action is decent; I would say it is a moderate action.

In my opinion, it would make a stellar beginner's kit. Or, if you want to just keep something in the car; it is prefect for that purpose to me.
