Jock is a variant of the iconic pattern Jock Scott. The combination of yellow and black in a fly is never wrong, these colours are hihghly visible and gives good conthrast under most circumstances. This fly fish well throughout the season, both day and noght. An true allround pattern that will be very effective in most rivers. The original Jock Scott was probably tied the first time in 1862 of the British riverkeeper Jock Scott before his trip to Norway for salmon fishing. The pattern is tied in many variants and the classic-/original version is regarded as one of the most complicated flies to tie, a true challenge for the fly tier seeking to complete his apprenticeship.
