Montana Stone or just Montana is an old American fly pattern made to imitate large stonefly larvas found many places in the USA. Here in Scandinavia this fly is more used as an imitation of both damsel- and dragonfly larvae’s, mainly found in lakes and ponds. However, this nymph is most to be considered as an attractor fly and are good in both lakes and rivers and a great fly for late evening- and night fishing.
