Vaskebjørn (means raccoon in Norwegian) is a very popular pattern for coastal fishing after sea trout, popularized by the Norwegian fly tier Eivind Berulfsen and has its origin from Christian Schanche, another Norwegian fly fisherman. Vaskebjørn is an incredible fly with its red trigger spots in the rear and the head, the lively hackle fibers makes a lot of movement when you retrieve the fly. This pattern is a good imitation of a swimming beach shrimp and will fish very good year along. A must have fly that is to be considered a base pattern. Guideline Vaskebjørn are tied on high quality hooks from Japanese Gamakatsu, model F314 which is one of the best hooks on the market.
